Multiple Camera Campaign Expands as Samsung Exit Appears Imminent

Optics Innovation LLC has filed a Western District of Texas complaint against Apple (7:26-cv-00203) and separate Eastern District of Texas complaints against first BBK Electronics and Guangdong Oujia Holding (OnePlus Technology, Guangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunications) (2:26-cv-00423); and then HMD Global (2:26-cv-00422), each over the provision of smartphones and tablets. At issue is the use of “two or more cameras” for capturing images in a portrait mode or increasing dynamic range. In Optics Innovation’s first case, against Samsung, a Joint Motion to Stay All Deadlines and Notice of Settlement has been filed.
