Longhorn IP’s Hermes IP Hits TCL
May 22, 2026
Hermes IP Management LLC has filed a third Eastern District of Texas case, this one against TCL Technology Group (2:26-cv-00421). The Longhorn IP LLC plaintiff again asserts three former SK Telecom patents, targeting the provision of smartphones that use microphones for noise suppression, support multiple home screens, and/or include certain image geotagging and navigation functionality. Prior defendant Lenovo has filed a motion to dismiss the 2025 case against it under Alice, as to two of these three patents. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap has yet to rule.
