“CP Studios” Twitches
CP Studios LLC (a Delaware plaintiff) has refiled in Delaware substantially the same complaint that a “CP Studios, LLC” (characterized repeatedly as a Utah plaintiff) filed against Amazon (Twitch Interactive) (1:26-cv-00571), also in Delaware, this past December. Twitch moved to transfer the prior case to the Northern District of California for convenience, answered an amended complaint, and then moved to dismiss for lack of standing, after the comma-free CP Studios represented that it was indeed a Delaware entity and “has no connection to any entity in Utah” after all. The comma-free CP Studios has yet to seek dismissal of the prior case in favor of this new one.
