Established Firm Picks Up “Localized Content” Patents While Court Considers Lack of Written Description in Existing, Funded Campaign

In January 2026, a pair of named individual inventors, other patents of which have been previously litigated, assigned a two-patent family to a longtime patent monetization firm. The family generally relates to “streaming localized content to a mobile device during a program break in an Internet television stream”. This subject matter may echo the earlier litigation matter, which involved the provision of advertisements on an “Internet radio” based on a mobile device’s location data.
