EasyWeb Innovations Sues Meta Platforms Again in Long-Running Campaign

Over a decade after its first case against Meta Platforms (f/k/a Facebook) in the Eastern District of New York, EasyWeb Innovations, LLC has now filed a second suit against it (1:25-cv-09971), this time in the Southern District of New York. The plaintiff asserts a single patent generally related to allowing a user to select a “security scheme” for authorization. Meta Platforms is accused of infringement through its “social-networking and messaging platforms” Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp, with two-factor authentication features at issue.
