Apple’s Liquid Glass the Focus of New West Texas Case

January 31, 2026

Peer Global Inc. has filed a Western District of Texas complaint against Apple (7:26-cv-00033), targeting with three patents the provision of iPads and iPhones that use iOS or iPadOS 26. At issue are features related to tab navigation in the “Liquid Glass” design interface. Peer Global describes itself as “redefining gaming and social media with the world’s first social game engine”, pleading that its “selection ring” navigation tool is “a foundational interface primitive designed for speed, fluidity, and continuous interaction within an immersive environment”.
