IP Edge “Main” Monetization Operation Rumbles Further Back to Life

Texas monetization firm IP Edge LLC acquired a roughly 60-patent portfolio from MediaTek in November 2022, just as Delaware Chief Judge Colm F. Connolly began scrutinizing the firm’s “main” monetization model. That portfolio has since spawned affirmative litigation against Deere & Company and Fortinet as well as a declaratory judgment action from Palo Alto Networks. After Judge Connolly formally closed certain matters late last year, other patents from that same portfolio are now on the move, suggesting that more litigation is coming here.
