Litigation over Former Prodea Patents Sticks to the Eastern District of Texas
xMatrix LLC has filed separate Eastern District of Texas complaints against Canon (Axis Communications) (2:26-cv-00220), Open Home Foundation (2:26-cv-00221), and Zmodo Technology (2:26-cv-00222). The New Mexico plaintiff’s infringement allegations focus on the provision of camera management software (AXIS Camera Station for Axis and Home Assistant Companion for Open Home Foundation) and Wi-Fi security cameras (the Zmodo 1080p Outdoor WiFi Camera for Zmodo). A single wireless camera control patent has been asserted in these complaints, the patent received as part of a roughly 65-patent portfolio from Prodea Automation LLC in August 2024.
