Funded Texas Plaintiff Begins Litigating Former Avaya Patents

May 3, 2026

In an Eastern District of Texas complaint, PulseLink Systems, LLC has accused Zoom Communications (2:26-cv-00343) of infringing three former Avaya patents. The Texas NPE targets the provision of Zoom’s video conferencing platform and related products, including Zoom Meetings Hybrid, Zoom Mesh, and Zoom Node. In the wake of its large portfolio divestiture to monetization firm Dominion Harbor Enterprises, LLC in 2024, an Avaya executive suggested that “[t]he VoIP portfolio sold to Dominion Harbor is only the first of multiple portfolios that Avaya intends to put on the secondary patent market”.
